  • The International Solar Alliance (ISA) has announced Dr Ajay Mathur as its new Director-General following his election at the first special assembly of ISA members.

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Maharaja Suheldev Memorial virtually on February 16, 2021 in Uttar Pradesh.

  • The Indian Navy received its third Scorpene Submarine under the Project P-75 on February 15, 2021. The submarine will be commissioned as INS Karanj in March.

  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recently launched an online portal ‘e-Chhawani’ and mobile app, to facilitate ‘ease of living’ and ‘ease of doing’ for the residents of the Cantonment Boards across the country.
  • The Rashtrapati Bhawan informed on February 16, 2021, that Kiran Bedi has been removed from her position as the Governor of Puducherry.
  • The Pilot Pey Jal Survekshan was launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs under the Jal Jeevan Mission- Urban on February 16, 2021.
  • The Reserve Bank of India constituted a committee to strengthen and consolidate urban co-operative banks on February 15, 2021. The Committee will comprise eight members and will be headed by former Deputy Governor of the RBI NS Vishwanathan.
